Christmas Baking!

One of my family's favorite Christmas traditions is our Christmas Baking Day.  Us "Medley" girls get together at one of our houses with recipes and supplies in hand, and spend the afternoon in the kitchen.  At the end of our baking time, we divide up the treats and take them home to enjoy.

We have some treats that we make every year- Chex mix, crock pot candy, and cookies.  And we have an order that we do things.  The crock pot candy takes the longest, so that gets started first.

The crock pot candy- we ended up with a total of 4 dozen pieces of candy each!

Then it's time for my specialty, the Chex mix.  And while that's going on my mom gets the cookies started.

Last but not least, Margaret usually has some fun new recipes to try.  This year she did Ranch Oyster crackers and these sweet/salty bugle bites.  It was so good!

The bugle bites!

We have such a good time together and really enjoy our Christmas baking tradition!
